The emphasis is exerted more on technique and on the activation of the nervous system.  The big heavy weight-training is being side-stepped.  Training now includes a large variety of repeated exercises that stimulate motor patterns as well as the speedy execution of technical gestures.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Technical drills thus constitute a major part of training, as well as a variety of plyometric exercises.  Such training results in faster and leaner athletes.
